Strictly Ceilings Acoustical Toggle Bolts are primarily used for installing wire in suspended ceiling applications. Using a drill with a 5/8" bit, a hole is drilled into the plaster, clay tile, or other hollow substrate. The winged end of the toggle bolt is then inserted into the substrate and expands to provide a secure platform from which to tie ceiling wire to the acoustical bolt. The washer and hex nut stabilize the lag to the substrate for a more secure installation.
